Supposition. It could have easily been the reverse (i.e., Trayvon being the one pummeled and crying for help). Nobody knows at this point.
You people are the worst kind of cows. What exactly are you basing your damning decision on? The fact that Trayvon was 17? Because 17 year olds aren't always babies. Some of them are mean mutherfuckers. Some of them rape and kill. Was Trayvon violent? Didn't know him, but his twitter shows he spent time with gang members, sold weed, and has been violent (or lied about trying to hit a bus driver, sweet kid if he actually did it). He didn't get to be 18 because his parents laid down on the job.
At least the neighborhood watch guy was doing something about crime besides breeding a criminal.

If you let your kids do fucked up things you don't always get to pick the consequences. The more people glorify or excuse physical violence, the more fed up people have to deal with it. Wrong place at the wrong time, picked the wrong guy to hit. Such is life. That shit happens all the time in the ghetto. That low-rent "gated community" is ghetto.

Profiling might not be the PC thing to do, but it works and everyone does it whether they will admit it or not. Kids of all kinds wear hoodie, because its fashionable? No, its because they want to look like a hood rat. Well guess what happens if you look like an asshole? People assume your an asshole, its just that simple. It works all over the place, you want to look like you belong and fit right in? Dress and walk and talk like the people your trying to fool, it works every time. When I did some PI work, I got in places WITH security just walking up with a clipboard and a fedex box, or right into a lawyers office by wearing a suit.
Regular kids with a malfunctioning racial idinty want to look like a hood rat because for some fucked up reasons out society seems to say thats ok. Well, the result is your kid is already dressing and looking like an asshole, so its a very short step to Being an asshole. Z was wrong in this thing, no doubt, TM should not have been hasseled much less killed. But it didn't happen in a vacuume. He looked like an asshole and had the bad luck to cross paths with a guy with serious testosterone poisoning, bad combo. Fat guy goes to jail, hod rat to the graveyard.

All true. I am not saying that just because you or your kids wear a hoodie you are an asshole. What I am saying is that it is the uniform of most of the assholes, and due to some misguided cocial issues a lot of people now think they are cool and therefore because we live in a Free Society that there is no cost to what you do. Look deeply into the roots of what you are doing, Why do you like the hoodie? When did you decide it was cool? Who had one that looked SO cool that you Had to have one? Your kids probably wear one because everyone thay perceive as cool wears one, so naturally they want one.

I'm noticing more & more business' are displaying the "no sunglasses/no hats/hoodies" signs. I've seen it at banks, then liquor stores/package stores and at the pharmacy.

True, there were no eye witnesses. The full/ehnanced police video, Zimmerman's medical reports, and the autopsy report should tell some of the story. We haven't seen those yet.
