First the water softener. Then the dryer. Now I need a new tire. $1600 in two weeks. FML.

Sucks for sure but you're very lucky you had it to spend in order to replace what you need.

How old are your other tires? I almost never replace just one.

I had a flat so I went to the shop to have it repaired. It was not fixable so I had to get a new one. They checked all the other tires and they are fine. I have owned 6 Hondas and the only problems I ever had with any of them were the tires. They are shit.

Lindsay Lohan was determined to stay out of rehab until after the Coachella music festival & she was able to put off the start of treatment until mid-May, meaning she will be able to attend the event next month.

Oh geez, that's funny. I wonder if we'll be able to pick her out of all the other dumb drunks.

The more I think about you and your daughter attending the festival the more I see Cosmetology School and single mom, in her future.

Well, the woman who cuts my hair owns the shop and she's doing well.

Nah. She's a good kid. Right now she doesn't have any interest in guys and she's still anti-drugs/alcohol. Buttttttt, if either of my kids started completely going off the rails, I wouldn't hesitate to pack them up and send them to a boarding school in Timbuktu if I needed to (seriously). She could have the baby there. Smiley_emoticons_slash

If I told my daughter about this conversation, she'd give me that WTF? look and then laugh. Some of her relatives have made not so subtle inquiries about whether or not we think she's sexually active. I passed a few along to her because I wanted her to realize she was giving off some vibes on FB that were sending a message that she was more experienced than she is. She said "OH MY GOD!! I'VE ONLY KISSED A BOY ONCE"!! She thinks we're all crazy and it's funny...but she cleaned up her FB page. Smiley_emoticons_smile

I'm too old for this shit. 52

If you haven't committed to the whole 3 days, maybe you can convince her to do just Day 1 or Day 3?

Day 1 gets you Lou Reed.

Day 3 gets you Social Distortion, Nick Cave, and the Chili Peppers.

I don't like big crowds of people drunk and trippin' either, but it's very cool that you and your daughter will have that experience. I bet you'll end up having a lot of crazy fun.

Rob Pattinson will probably be hard to sidle up to, but Danny DeVito likes to get his party on at Coachella and he's a mingler.

(Yeah, I love him, but your daughter probably not so much.)

I think there's more chance of the cougar mom being hit on all weekend rather than he teenage daughter...haha.

When my oldest daughter was 15 she had a sleepover party at a friends place where some boys were invited. The parents who hosted it had some parents stay over as well to keep things under control. One of the boys who was invited along had some grand plans, judging by him bringing along a whole box of a dozen condoms. We only found out at midnight when the boys had blown them up like balloons and were chasing the girls around with them. At that point I had a bit of an internal laugh and thought I didn't have much to worry about for a year or two.

The Chili Peppers have put out so many great lines/lyrics and incredible bass. Plus, they're fun to watch. User's probably gonna be all buzzed and dancing half naked to them under a hot desert moon next month. Lucky MILF.

Setting antecedents one festival at a time. It becomes the difference between a parent and a friend, at some point crying may happen. But what the hell do I know. I'm protective but at some point they are alone and all they will have is what you have taught them. My 26 yr old never remembers the stuff like that, she only remembers the times I have not bailed her out ( not real bail like jail but the bailing from a sinking ship) Blowing-kisses...........good luck!

The Red Hot Chili Peppers is one of the few bands I recognize. I am definitely going to take lots of pictures. My know it all daughter says the nakie people only hang out by the beer garden. 78

This will definitely be interesting. I give her a few hours on day 1 before she wants to get out of there. Shame. I could make a nice profit selling our tickets right now.

Thank you, Maggot. She may not look back at it fondly but she better fucking appreciate the fact that I took her there. hah

I bet you remember it more than she does. Teenaged kids are fast paced, once the deed is done, they move on too the next highlight. It could get exhausting. But have fun, its still a great memory!

Maybe you'll run into Mr. Warmwater. Smiley_emoticons_wink
