I've had the honor of actually meeting some of the Astronauts, including Scott Carpenter, John Glenn, and Mr. "All the Right Stuff" Chuck Yeager. (He had his own T-38 Talon and he used to fly in to my base, Vance, to see his mother.)
These are men of integrity and honor. Through and through. The very definition of honorable. To suggest that they would have a hand in an outright lie is abhorrent and despicable.
Get over it, America went to the moon. To suggest otherwise is to cast aspersions on some of the best men humankind has ever produced.

He cried to me in a pm when I slapped his lying ass the day he got his dumb self banned from my pet forum there when I had it. He couldn't keep his yap shut and kept trying to argue how pit bulls ran amok killing for the sake of killing. He was easy pickings due to his ignorance and narrow mindedness.
I replied to his PM in kind and told him if he ever crossed my path with that kind of childish shit again I won't be so kind as to keep it in a PM but to make him look the fool he is in public.
My Squid pegged him for a liar about his military service back in the early days of 24... too bad I didn't peg him before I took his lame ass fighter pilot test. too bad the test isn't there anymore too.... it's quite the laugh.
According to him, he used to give this 'mental test' to see if people were pilot material and qualified for flight school.
Matt laughed - Navy, Air Force whatever you don't take a mental capacity test from him to qualify for flight school. It's not that easy.
He also said he's STILL in the reserves (this was in what? the first year of 24!) - I'm sorry but I just don't buy that crap. There's no way he's in the reserves and frankly, I don't believe he ever was.
He's a teacher - the equivalent of Mr. Kotter in the real world. I whole heartedly believe he warps young minds with his own opinion as well instead of objectively teaching.
At least Moose's lies about his military service had the right lingo, it was still unrealistic but I gotta admin way more colorful.
Oh and I showed that test to my friend in the RAF and he even laughed and wished getting into flight school was that easy.

Too bad most of the members there probably missed it AND the asshole wasn't banned. He seems to lead a charmed online life.
Ant, he came out and admitted he was 'inactive reserves' which means absolutely diddly squat. I always wondered why he was so low ranking if he had all that time in... I'd bet a paycheck he never made it four years. As I went on ad nauseum at 24 about it, the very first rank you get when you join the AF as an officer is 2Lt/0-1 and you usually get 0-2 within two years. Apparently Jives never progressed any further than that AND never actually spent any time in the ACTIVE Reserves. So it's even more of an insult to real veterans when he uses that 1Lt Saint Jives USAFR.
By the way, he's got certain topics that he's saved and he likes using them over and over again at various forums. In addition to his tirade about Brokeback, he also has his shrill opinion about pitbulls. If you took the time to google him, you'd probably find all the same bullshit in at least five other places, in exactly the same wording. Copyright pending.
