Well if you're with your mom, probably best to skip the hike and drive to the top of Cadillac Mountain instead. Maybe he proposed up there?

Also if you can get there, the Jordan Pond House is great to have some popovers and tea. Really nice place to take in sights...

Going there tomorrow!

I wish the Pope would just go home already. This 247 news coverage is getting boring.

Are you going to both?

I thought the Jordan Pond House was in Bar Harbor but I just mapped it and I guess it's a bit further south. I dunno if the family will want to venture further than Bar Harbor but I'll bring it up. My mom tires pretty easily so after a few hours out, she's typically ready to return to the hotel.

However.....the next trip? She wants to take us to Australia next year. I'm down with it but 14-17 hours on a plane? 84

I thought you stopped in Hawaii on those trips. Oz is a big place, I would love to take a month or two hanging out in.

Holy Moly the Pope is a rock star.

RE: The 2015 trivial drivel thread - Maggot - 09-25-2015

The Pope and his peeps have been an alternative band that stays away from the spot light and only performs to an elite audience. They made an album but it can only be played on a Pope Player.

yeah and you can only find out their tour dates by deciphering the clues found in the Bible, the Shroud of Turin, the Holy Grail and the Ark of the Covenant.

The pope sounded like Dracula when he was talking in English..

I like it better when he talks in spanish. And not in that Transylvanian accent he has going on.

We're looking at triple digits by the end of the week here.

I haven't been sleeping well because my house is infested with monsters. It's not just one under the bed or in the closet, they're everywhere. Behind the couch, in the cabinets, in the fridge...

I guess it's better than cockaroaches.

RE: The 2015 trivial drivel thread - Maggot - 10-01-2015

Are you talking about those Goddamn lizards? They're fast! Or are you having the DT's

Most likely those monsters "ate" the cockroaches! hah

I wonder if Sally's youngest is fostering this monster paranoia and keeping her up at night.

RE: The 2015 trivial drivel thread - sally - 10-01-2015

Yes, she sleeps with us now because of the monsters. And even though it's a king size bed we wake up pushed to the very edge while she somehow positions herself sideways between us during the night. Then I pick her up and take her to her bed and right as I fall back to sleep she comes back.

RE: The 2015 trivial drivel thread - HairOfTheDog - 10-01-2015

Well....if there really are invisible monsters infesting your home, it could explain the candlesticks.

RE: The 2015 trivial drivel thread - Maggot - 10-01-2015

My son did that till he was almost 6 now he's 9 that got old so one night I just sleep with a monster mask on so when he yanked the sheets a monster came out. That was the last time he tried that shit!

RE: The 2015 trivial drivel thread - Duchess - 10-01-2015

hah OMG. You're even more warped than I am.

As a young adult I got myself so worked up over the boogyman I couldn't walk out to my car alone after watching Salem's Lot.

I've spent a good 5 hours today working on home network/computer issues. I learned from Comcast that foreigners were accessing my network. I haz been hacked bad. Smiley_emoticons_slash

Damn, we may be paying a boat load but the private school my kids are attending is certainly doing wonders for their grades. My son's grades (my daughter has all A's too). Smiley_emoticons_slash My son wants to go back to public school for his senior year which is good but...I don't think there's a chance in hell he could maintain this in classrooms with 30-40 kids. No way.
