What a fricken' freak show, but I'm glad you enjoyed yourself.

Were you getting hit on while you were there?

Overhear anyone refer to you as a MILF?

I honestly don't get the freak comments. Must be a really boring old set of eyes to see things through.

I didn't see any freaks; just performers who were very gracious to their fans. It's not everybody's thing and I get that it doesn't appeal to you and others. But, I don't think it's freaky and don't deserve any credit for being interested in my niece's life and going to a show with her.

I see a lot of that same look on the college campus every day. I get why young girls like these guys. It was cool that my niece wanted to share part of her world with me and I got to hear some new music in the process. Fun.

Anyway, male performers in make-up are nothing new, here or anywhere else. I liked KISS, Ozzy Osborne, The Cure, Motley Crue, Culture Club, Adam Ant, Marilyn Manson... Hell, I love Edgar Winter and he doesn't look all that conventional even without make-up.

You're a square, man! (figure that's old school white bread enough of a term for you to appreciate). Blowing-kisses

P.s. when men, young or old, are cool to me or look at me, I don't assume they're thinking I'm a MILF or anything; don't think I have that mesmerizing irresistible power over the opposite sex that you have in your mind. Nobody last night said, "hey, I'd like to fuck you, let's get it on" or asked for my phone number, so I don't think anyone was hitting on me.
Yup. I wish my daughter was into stuff like this. She used to be, and thought it was pretty cool that dad knew most of them and easily got back stage for autographs and photo ops (still have a pic of her with Jeff Hatrix of Mushroomhead - another makeup and mask band - with a million dollar smile on her face). Now she's crazy about the Machine Gun Kelly rapper out of Cleaveland. It's not my cup of tea, but i'd rather spend time with her and share in her interests (as best I can). Besides, I'd have to give her a ride home anyway. Soon she'll be 16 driving on her own and hanging out with her friends and while I won't miss MGK, I will miss spending time with her.

Maybe you should go back and look at the pics you posted again?

^^^ This I admire about you.

Yep, guess I'm a square.

P.s. when men, young or old, are cool to me or look at me, I don't assume they're thinking I'm a MILF or anything; don't think I have that mesmerizing irresistible power over the opposite sex that you have in your mind. I just thought maybe a young guy had approached you and maybe had asked for your number. Guess not.

Still don't see the freak thing, so maybe I'm a freak by some standards. I can live with that.

Squares like you and freaks like me sometimes get a long. Fun to banter with you, MS.

Wait til your daughter becomes a teen. Smiley_emoticons_fies

RE: Sup fuckers? - HairOfTheDog - 11-07-2013

I was pretty enthralled with Ziggy Stardust when I was like 12. It was several years after the Spiders from Mars release, but new to me.

I remember my dad not getting the "look", but luckily he liked Bowie's music and voice a lot so he didn't mind that I played it over and over. Same with Alice Cooper Goes to Hell.

He thought my older sister's love of Air Supply was freaky, though.

RE: Sup fuckers? - Duchess - 11-07-2013

I think anyone's love of Air Supply is freaky.

RE: Sup fuckers? - JsMom - 11-07-2013

I would go with my son, if he listened to that type of music, but I surely wouldn't be thrilled.

You were a pretty lucky girl.

Agreed. I sometimes enjoy replacing the word "love" with "drugs" in their songs and while it is ammusing for a moment or two, it still makes me cringe and want to projectile vomit on those who play it in my presence (a former co-worker who also attempted to sing along and couldn't carry a note if it had a handle on it). hah

RE: Sup fuckers? - HairOfTheDog - 11-08-2013

Confession: I didn't turn "I'm All Out Of Love" when it came up on the radio during my last two road trips.

It's catchy and I just gotta sing it all the way through! (Bonus: major eye-rolls and repressed laughs from the niece - hey, she trolls me too sometimes.)

Next time, I'll do the "All Outta Drugs" variation.

So...it's Effin' Karaoke Friday here at Mock. Turn it up and belt it out!

MS, I know you really are singing it, with your eyes closed during the chorus. I know it. 27

RE: Sup fuckers? - Midwest Spy - 11-08-2013

I can admit it to a bunch of people on-line that I'll never meet, but in real life?

No way.

RE: Sup fuckers? - Blindgreed1 - 11-08-2013

*projectile vomits on the thread*

RE: Sup fuckers? - Clang McFly - 11-08-2013

Karaoke friday at my local bar next Friday!!! Can't wait to belt out Secret Agent Man, some Beatles, and some pop tunes.

Bet you're fun to watch/hear, Clang.

I can picture you belting out, "Love Me Do".

Glad you're doing well, btw, despite the laptop crisis.

RE: Sup fuckers? - username - 11-08-2013

MS, politely decline?

Let's visit the choices...flatly refuse to allow the kid who is a few years away from 18 to go (in which case she will likely rebel, learn how to lie and sneak out and quickly become pregnant), two, allow her to go and say "have fun, honey...remember protection"! Or three, go with. I'll take option three any time but I think it's pretty fucking rare for a teen to want to take one of us old folks to a club like that.

I doubt your princess will invite her pink Lacoste wearing, sock-less penny loafer sporting, tightey-whitey wedgy suffering father anywhere though so you might as well stock her up with rubbers now.

RE: Sup fuckers? - Midwest Spy - 11-08-2013

My guess is, the best way to keep your teenage daughter from becoming pregnant, is to stay as involved in her life as much as you possibly can.

Girls whose dads are involved and support them are less likely to get involved with sex and drugs.

That's MY plan.

However, nothing is foolproof.

And, I haven't worn tighty whities in a loooooong time.

RE: Sup fuckers? - Maggot - 11-08-2013

I remember the day my daughter did not want to sit on my lap like it was yesterday. Now, when my last daughter does that I might cry alone at some point. Maybe singing "I'm all out of love"
When my Son doesn't come running to the door excited to see me after I get home from work, I might hang my head just a bit down some but I think he has a few more years of gold in him.

RE: Sup fuckers? - crash - 11-08-2013

A smart woman once told me, Mags, that they always come back. She was right. I had dinner with all three of mine last night (the two girls came home for the weekend) and it made me smile that big smile like when you push them in the pram in public for the first time..

Won't be but a few years and the boy will be off to do his own thing too. I think I'm going to be a nomad then. Just roam around the planet and add a FNFA after my name.

Daddy's are like that with their little girls.
