He got even worse on Twitter the next day trying to explain away all the dumb shit he's said. He tried to use "verbal" as a noun lol. "I meant I would hit them with my verbal." Then he went on to say he meant blood was flowing from Megyn Kelly's nose that one time he mocked her menstruation, but he was in such a hurry to get back on topic he neglected to say the one-syllable 'nose' and opted for the phrase..."flowing from her whatever". This guy just never quits with the bloviating.

It will make you feel better if you do some very deep research, non-partisan style, into each and every alleged crime and lie Hilary is accused of. You will find that huge chunks of it are exaggerated, spun out or simply made up over the years. Makes one feel a lot better about the choice. But you have to stick with the non-partisan sites.

Yes up until the last two elections, don't know why but now all I do is just tell them my name/address and they look it up on their list and that's it.

I don't vote with my heart. I vote based on who I think is most capable and actually in the race. And I am not so foolish to believe that any person exists who would be both saintly and pure, and capable of getting into politics successfully all at the same time. We are a nation who has overvalued those who best pander to our selfish nature's.

Voter regulations are set state by state. I think everyone should be required to show their ID but those who enforce these laws don't agree. Only 32 states require photo identification.

I was reading about the Koch brothers telling their Republicans pals to cut their losses with Trump. They don't intend to lift a finger to help him and it's been said they will focus their money and resources on the Senate.

That is the best part of this whole fiasco, seeing the GOP exposed for what it has become, a marketplace for buying and selling politics. Trump's overt incompetence and the chaos it caused within the party is gonna drag a lot of people down with him. Could see a democratic sweep next election, especially if Hilary turns out to be a whole lot less evil and megalomaniacal than they've portrayed her all these years.

Both parties have become ones that buy and sell politics, in my opinion.
One good thing that the over 20 million supporters who voted for Sanders and Trump in the primaries have done is to make it very clear that the American people are acutely aware of it and fed up. Clinton heard the message loud and clear and adjusted some of her positions accordingly, which was smart. Trump has been a buyer of politics and now claims to be against a system that allows him to do so, but hasn't given any details.
Anyway, I agree that the GOP is going to have a hard time surviving, much less expanding, without major reforms and moving away from its weird obsession with the bedroom, the bathroom, and fighting against inevitable demographic changes with fear and derision. Trump's actually less obsessed with the first two than many Republican leaders, but managed to beat out several qualified Republican candidates by lying and capitalizing on the fear and derision the party has cultivated for at least 8 years.
Clinton's nabbing college-educated white voters from Trump and the GOP. Romney won that vote in 2012, but Clinton has a sizable lead with that demographic in this election cycle.

Yesterday Mike Pence held a rally, in a room full of Republicans a military mother, whose son is serving right now, asked when Pence would look Trump in the eye and tell him enough is enough. The Republicans booed her! I'm so sick of this shit. How dare they.

Mr. Obama said the Republican criticisms of Mr. Trump “ring hollow” if the party’s leaders continue to support his bid for the presidency this fall, particularly in light of Republican criticisms of Mr. Trump for his attacks on the Muslim parents of an American soldier, Humayun Khan, who died in Iraq.
“The question they have to ask themselves is: If you are repeatedly having to say in very strong terms that what he has said is unacceptable, why are you still endorsing him?” Mr. Obama said at a news conference at the White House.
Mr. Obama said that in addition to Mr. Trump’s comments about the Khan family, the Republican nominee had demonstrated that he was “woefully unprepared to do this job.” The president said Mr. Trump lacked knowledge about Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
“This isn’t a situation where you have an episodic gaffe. This is daily,” Mr. Obama added. “There has to be a point at which you say, this is not somebody I can support for president of the United States, even if he purports to be a member of my party. The fact that that has not yet happened makes some of these denunciations ring hollow.”

I think the convention results reflect Trump's ability to win over a sizable portion of Republican voters, while simultaneously turning off a much larger portion of the population.

For the first time in tracking history, a candidate's convention has driven people away from the candidate and the party, and a whole lot of people at that.
Winning the primaries and winning the general are very different prospects.
Since the convention, Trump has blown a lot of opportunities to attract Independents and more center right voters. There are still three months left until the general vote, but Trump has made it clear, to me, that he has no ability (or will?) to convince more people that he's suited to lead the country.

For the past 7-10 days I've been reading a lot of right-wing tweets, digital publications and blogs. The most striking thing to me is the number of times I find myself agreeing with them and more than once I've thought, they want the same things I do, this is not to say I am agreeable to everyone, simply that we share many of the same opinions. Overwhelmingly, these people feel the same way I do about Trump.
Clinton love aside, I would feel this way regardless. I feel certain of that. Trump is the very definition of menace to society.

I'm not a fan of Trump, but it's hard to give credence to anything Obama Says. In 8 short years he went from: "Hillary Clinton. She’ll say anything, and change nothing. It’s time to turn the page.
