RE: Presidential race 2016 - BlueTiki - 03-08-2016 Looks like the RNC will be abolishing Rule 40. The proposed change will allow any candidate, with one pledged delegate, to be eligible for nomination. This shit keeps getting better and better! Have you ever heard of the dangers of making assumptions.......I was relating my personal experience which i had as a young woman and how I was able to overcome being a Republican and end up as a decent person......part of my biography, dumb ass...... I owned the fact that my mother was a racist so what is your big complaint here. I am just glad I matured and became a grown up instead of blaming everyone else for my problems, etc. I don't ever agree with anything you ever say.......but just like a good Republican, you know how to project blame over and over, you know how to dislike those who are different, you believe your rights supersede other people's rights. You take one grain and then embellish it to spread the word.....Yeah, i am the hater, here......you are full of RE: Presidential race 2016 - HairOfTheDog - 03-08-2016 (03-08-2016, 06:25 PM)blueberryhill Wrote: I am sure Hillary made a lot of mistakes, and because of those mistakes and her experience with adversity makes her qualified to run this country. I don't think it's self-righteous in nature, blueberry, but the bullshit that was used to sell and justify the invasion of Iraq angers me to this day. In my opinion, the lives lost (U.S. and worldwide) over such a deception-based act of aggression is tragic and shameful. How that deception changed global relations, for the worse, is something that will haunt the U.S. and our allies for long to come (in my opinion). Based on nothing more than gut impression, I blame Dickhole Cheney and Rumsfeld more than W though. Still, W is technically ultimately responsible, and I used to assume that Bush Sr. maybe pushed him to go there in order to settle his score with Saddam. But, I think I was wrong about that assumption after having read what Bush Sr. himself recently had to say about the invasion. He could be lying, but I tend to believe him for the most part, for whatever reason. Anyway, it sounds like you and I are in agreement that the invasion of Iraq was a disgraceful act, it hurt the world immensely, and the free-pass/blind-eye given to the Saudis was some greed-based bullshit alright. And..........like it or not, there's one politician in the presidential running who openly agrees with us (at least last I heard, loudly and publicly from his own mouth). Yep, Donald Trump. Nope. No stereotyping or intolerance here. Not one iota! I'm not sure what is my fave . . . overcoming being a Republican and end up being a decent person - or - the fact Republicans automatically know how to dislike those who are different. I presume the "your rights supercede other people's rights" is referring to the 2nd Amendment? Yeah . . . no intolerance here. Discussing politics with you extreme right wingers is like talking to the friggin' wall......you all just don't get it.....you talk in circles.... Yes, I am intolerant of all the lives that are lost due to casualness of gun ownership encouraged by the greed of the NRA.....I would tighten those rules so tight and if they take away every gun in the country except for a well regulated militia (US military and police departments)I would be happy and I love to hear you all whine about your fucking rights...... I am intolerant of the way people of different colors are treated in the US......People lost their lives in the Civil Rights Movement. Women were beaten down while fighting for the right to vote.....The Republican party used to be a proud party and I could live with a Republican or Democratic President, but I have never seen such hate as directed toward President Obama and his wife. I am sick of it,, do you hear, sick of it, so yes, I think today's Republican party is based on hate, restriction of human rights, which means general intolerance and worst of all, you don't recognize when you are being lied to by these jerks.......My dislike of the Republican party started with George W. Bush.......your party is dead and is close to being buried....... Yes, I am proud, too, of being able to overcome being a Republican, and becoming a decent person. If I can do it, so can you so get out and vote for Hillary......yeah, Hillary, you go girl! R RE: Presidential race 2016 - HairOfTheDog - 03-08-2016 ^ Feisty and unapologetic! I like it, blueberry. RE: Presidential race 2016 - BlueTiki - 03-08-2016 Sorry, Hill. Not a member of the GOP. Forbes was the closest I ever got to voting Republican. You loathe those who hold a different opinion than you. It's personal . . . not principle. I'll never understand the notion that if someone supports 2nd Amendment rights, they don't care about the victims of gun violence. Nor will I understand that disagreeing with Obama is primarily based on race . . . not ideology. And I doubt that you will ever accept the possibility that all Republicans are not haters. It's kinda like Hitler condemning the Jews for all the evil in the country. For you to have so much hate against a group of people, I am truly sorry. Good luck with cankle queen. The candidate who learned about Islam from her daughter. Her words . . . not mine. RE: Presidential race 2016 - BlueTiki - 03-08-2016 Sorry . . . correction to the above: And I doubt that you will ever accept the possibility that NOT ALL Republicans are haters. I wouldn't have accepted it . . . the way it was first written! I have no issue with your mother being a racist republican. You played the blame game not me. I think you better check your own reading comprehension. If you never agree with anything I say and you don't like me then act like the grown up, mature (lol) person you are and keep scrolling...or not, your meltdowns are very entertaining. All the rest of it was blah, blah, blah..... RE: Presidential race 2016 - HairOfTheDog - 03-09-2016 Bernie Sanders won Michigan tonight. I'm surprised and happy for the man. I like a lot of what he has to say and like that he aims to elevate the poor. I also like that he aims to expand and elevate the middle class. And, I like that he's bringing all kinds of attention to campaign finance reform and income inequality too. Sanders is the one candidate who I feel is absolutely sincere in his style and message. He's doing way better than originally expected despite all the labels and despite the fact that Clinton was assumed to be "a sure thing". I don't care what anyone says, I like and respect that 'crackpot old socialist Jew clown". RE: Presidential race 2016 - Cutz - 03-09-2016 I never said he was an "old socialist Jew clown." But that crackpot sure is interested in "elevating" the poor and middle class. Hmm, what's that leave? Oh everyone would be upper class! Yay how fun. Everyone in America can make 500 grand a year working their current job (or not at all.) Unfortunately the government will need to tax 499 grand to pay for all our programs. Good luck in the bread lines! Eh, at least it's a better contribution than "I was raised racist until I sucked so much black dick that Lisa Lampanelli told me to slow down." RE: Presidential race 2016 - Duchess - 03-09-2016 Shouldn't it be up to the people to elevate themselves through hard work & perseverance? RE: Presidential race 2016 - Maggot - 03-09-2016 I've noticed the hate against Trump is more than the hate against Obama. Maybe Trump should offer free stuff to make people feel better. But I don't see that happening. People want their free stuff no matter where it comes from. RE: Presidential race 2016 - HairOfTheDog - 03-09-2016 I know you didn't call Bernie all those names, Cutz, and it wouldn't be a problem if you did. I'm just having fun; 'Bernie the crackpot old Jew clown' is a combination of the contributions from you, Big Sal, and FAHQTOO. At this point, I wouldn't vote for Mr Sanders unless he was running against Trump or Cruz because I have practicality and true cost concerns that haven't yet been satisfied by his campaign. But, I'm listening with an open mind and impressed when it comes to the man and his vision. I think more highly of Bernie Sanders with his unending passion and sincere commitment than I've thought of a politician in a long time. Bernie wants people to earn and pay for what they get; he's not offering a pocketful of free-ride tickets, in my view. And, the man is only beholden to the American people, which I like. Bernie isn't trying to make rich people less rich or punish them for success. He instead wants them to pay their share instead of continuing to get all kinds of breaks from bought politicians and exploiting loopholes that encourage them to invest outside of America. He aims to use that money to elevate the standard of living for everyone in the country so we don't continue having so many people living below the poverty level, incarcerated, and watching the middle class shrink. He actually acknowledges and wants to make a dent in 'generational poverty'. Good. Bernie wants to implement a very slight tax on reckless speculative Wall Street trades which cost middle-class tax payers billions in bailouts; a transaction tax which is not a new concept. He aims to use the money to afford everyone who is willing to study and work the opportunity to become more educated, without ending up with massive college loan debt at high interest rates strapped to their backs for years. He wants everyone to have access to health care as a human right, without putting the burden on employers or fining individuals who don't buy insurance. His universal health care wouldn't be free, it would increase everyone's taxes but reduce or eliminate out of pocket service costs. Whether they choose to be college-educated or not, Bernie wants Americans to work and contribute. He wants to keep manufacturing jobs in the country by renegotiating what he sees as some of the 'disastrous' trade agreements that ship manufacturing jobs elsewhere and leave entire communities impoverished. I don't how much he means what he says, but Donald Trump shares more of Bernie Sanders' stances than perhaps any other candidate. There's commonality on the topics of trade agreements, Chiner, health care accessibility, illegal immigration, PACS, established politicians, the rigged system, their parties' nominating committees...They have very different motivations and styles though. That claim doesn't make any sense to me, Mexico's leaders deny it, there's no proof to be found that it's true, the per capita crime rate for undocumented immigrants (specifically from Mexico) is far below that of the general population, and Trump never backed up that outrageous allegation other than to say he talked to a couple of border guards.Sheriff Babieu is asking for a formal investigation into how BP is currently patrolling the border. Agents have specific area assignments. Those assignments are not in the high traffic areas according to the agents who work the corridor. The current admin has addressed agent's concerns by informing them that if they don't like it they can quit. So I guess if you're not in the area where they are coming across the border, you might not have a representative sample of who is crossing the border illegally. |
