Sally, can I see your boobs please?

RE: ASK SALLY ANYTHING - cannongal - 05-20-2021

Hey!  How do I deal with a really fat year old 13 boy and a 12 bean pole year old girl  who are related?  Not their primary caregiver,   but they live here 3 days week.  The cg for the other days feed them junk foods.   Pisses me off!

RE: ASK SALLY ANYTHING - sally - 05-20-2021

I guess the only thing you can do is make sure they eat healthy while with you. I've always cooked pretty healthy with lots of vegetables. I gave my kids the option to eat it or don't eat, but there is nothing else. They never starved and weren't picky eaters unlike my neighbor's kid who won't even eat Lettuce. And get fat boy doing some physical activity, if he's eating healthy and staying active that will help even if it's just three days a week.

Hers was way easier. It didn't involve taking pictures and uploading it to imgur like a 46 year old cougar pervert.

Dear Sally,

I'm asking you to watch this vid when you get a chance. An overview of what's going on in the world from the perspective of someone I consider to be an authentic conservative. He has a background in self-defense and psychology, and is about as level-headed as they come. Hope you enjoy.

I watched. I should have taken notes so I could remember the points I want to make and argue with you. I may start it again and do so.  Sarcastic

One of the things that comes to mind right away is his opinion of "cancel culture". I think that cancel culture is simply a new word for an old thing. The difference is that regular citizens have a platform, small that it may be in some cases, in the form of social media. Opinions are read immediately, as opposed to opinions traveling by word of mouth. Back in the day if one hired a contractor and their work sucked, that would get around by word of mouth, these days it gets out to the masses immediately once it's posted online and the business gets dragged and no one will hire them. I don't see cancel culture being an all bad thing unless an innocent gets pulled into it.

How are we supposed to know if someone is or isn't "innocent" when tribalism is rampant? The only time most of us care is when the person or organization is part of our tribe, otherwise we just assume they got what they deserved, and this is true regardless of political affiliation.

Also, good and bad always go hand in hand, nothing in this world is all bad or all good, and what we perceive depends on our perspective.
