NO MICROWAVE . . . . - Carsman - 09-11-2021

On September 1st, our microwave crapped out!
So we went and bought a new one from our local appliance store that we've
done business with for years.
However, of course the one we wanted they didn't have in stock, it had to be special ordered, and the soonest it could be delivered and installed will be on September 15th!
We thought we could manage without it for that long. Wrong!
Well we now realized just how much we really we depended on it, and it's driving us crazy! CRAZY! CRAZY! CRAZY!
A simple thing like reheating a cup of coffee, warming leftovers, making baked potatoes, actually cooking veggies, thawing out frozen meats, even making "popcorn", now becomes a chore, causing many dirty pots, pans, and dishes!
September 15th can't get here soon enough!
SO CAN YOU LIVE WITHOUT A MICROWAVE?

With the way supply chains are these days, the 15th is pretty damn fast. You have to wait months for a lot of things nowadays.

I dont have one and can't go into details right now, but it mostly pisses me off. Sometimes they come in very handy and then I have to wait four hours to make a frozen pot pie in the regular oven instead of 4 minutes

I use them to melt butter for to be when I cook stuff.

Some things are better in a traditional baking oven rather than a microwave.
