WHO PAYS? - Duchess - 05-16-2023 Some people were talking about this and it made me wonder what Mockers would have to say... A friend was babysitting for a friend's small child and the little kid broke an expensive bottle of perfume. Who pays to replace what was broken? RE: WHO PAYS? - BigMark - 05-17-2023 Was it teetering on the edge or put away, was it an accident? Then sue the perfumer for dangerous packaging. Seven figure minimum, damage claim. Or keep bitching and whining . . . and the husband will buy you another bottle . . . just to shut you the fuck up. Geez . . . how I love first-world problems. RE: WHO PAYS? - Duchess - 05-17-2023 (05-17-2023, 12:28 AM)BigMark Wrote: Was it teetering on the edge or put away, was it an accident? The babysitter sent her into the bathroom that has "all the pretty bottles". I have renter's insurance. I wonder if it will cover it. I borrowed a starlink dish over winter, sent it back to them in April. Seems it is damaged now. Shit. They were trying a new cord, haven't heard yet if it works. I wonder how they are going to handle it. Do I feel bad? Yes. Was there any signed/written contract between us? No-other than emails/texts that could possibly be used. I have a tendency to just pay things and avoid confrontations, its the easy way out for me, but I'm not getting any richer at the moment, so I may just put up a fight. |
