I seriously have never been so afraid to open a bill.
I just started paying electric in October. The 2nd month the bill was doubled and I am really really scared to see what the last one will be. As I'm sitting here in the dark.

We need a wood fireplace, our first winter in home here. Dehumidifiers are really important here though.

Mine has always around $55-60. Fancy pants people and their central air conditioning and electric stoves using all that expensive electric juice.

You pay $200/month for electric? Ho Lee Chit! That’s like $300/month in my money. Since I put solar on the roof, I get about $50/month credit, and it only cost $5k. I don’t feel so bad about paying $5.50 in your money for a gallon of diesel now

I worked it out in US. We buy our fuel by the litre. Current price for diesel where I live is AUD$2.18/litre, which at the current exchange of AUD$1= US$0.67 is about US$5.50 for a US gallon of 3.785 litres.
