CHILDHOOD PRIZED POSSESSION - Duchess - 04-20-2025

Can you recall one from your childhood? I was gifted a portable record player/radio for Christmas one year. I thought I was hot shit. I was able to carry it like a handbag and took it everywhere. I can remember sitting by the St. Lawrence and trying to pick up a Canadian radio station because they played the best music.

Awww, that seems kinda sad to me.

I'll remember you for the rest of my life as the guy who gave up everything he knew to go with his wife to a different country.

My parents were pretty damn tight fisted and/or I don’t recall a favorite from early childhood (although I had a stuffed Snoopy and ripped one of its legs off in some fit…). I liked my Snoopy; but I was just that pissed.

HOWEVER!!! I fucking scored being the youngest of 4 when it came to first cars at 16. My older siblings got Toyotas or Ford Pintos or whatever…

I went car shopping with my dad at 16 and was eyeballing a decent Corolla and I think he decided to live vicariously through his youngest. He said “Sue, that’s just not you” and I went home with a yellow and black Camaro instead. Vrrooommm!

What year?

RE: CHILDHOOD PRIZED POSSESSION - F.U. - 04-21-2025

I don't know what I have fonder memories of. My first shotgun, a Stevens double barrel 410 . My 20 inch Evil Knievel bicycle. Or my HD dirt bike. So, its a toss-up.
