RE: Random photos - LuMPyPussy - 02-04-2010 He seems to enjoy killing small rodents as well. What a renaissance man. RE: Random photos - Maggot - 02-04-2010 I tell ya I was down by the beggers island today, and down by the rapids where I fish, the water was cold and fast and the sun was shinning. There was a bronze statue of a mill woman there. Her eyes were frozen and timeless. And everything was cool and blue. Sometimes brown and white, but it made the day memorable. RE: Random photos - Lady Cop - 02-04-2010 those streams are one reason i love your area any time of year...that water is always cold and pure. RE: Random photos - Maggot - 02-04-2010 This may make me think...... RE: Random photos - LuMPyPussy - 02-04-2010 (02-04-2010, 09:27 PM)Maggot Wrote: This may make me think...... RE: Random photos - sally - 02-04-2010 Very nice, that water looks like it produces some delicious tasting fish that is as pure and clean as the Mother Mary. RE: Random photos - LuMPyPussy - 02-04-2010 That statue doesn't look so scary from a distance. RE: Random photos - Maggot - 02-04-2010 That is the "Mill Woman" dedicated to all the women that worked the mills weaving cloth at the turn of the century. I always thought it was serene and forlorn. It makes me think of how hardworking and dedicated they were, and forgotten in a thankless time. Funny that they are remembered and not the men that they supported during the war and after. As I said a thankless task but not forgotten through the statue that remains as a testiment towards their fortitude. I admire that.
