UFC 132 - Maggot - 07-03-2011

Now I'm a big fan of the original UFC fights and Brazilian wresting was a great upset in personal fighting techniques but, UFC 132?..............For shits sake! What has this morphed into? Do people still watch this shit? Are there still so many defence techniques that have gone untested? I guess I might be missing something. What is it? Its a good Goddamn thing Bruce Lee died! That fucker slept with his training. Much like Hendricks slept with his guitar. Where the hell are all the cowboys?

The world needs another hero.

Brazilian Ju-Jitsu is the most effective martial art in MMA, it is the one system that combines everything you need to be a successful exponent of MMA. Fighters may come from wrestling, kick boxing and other martial art beckgrounds but all fighters need training in Brazilian Ju-Jitsu its the difference between winning and losing. If other martial arts systems were anywhere near as effective they would still be used, fact is they aren't.

As for popularity?, MMA (especially UFC) is now a major rival to boxing in the world of televised sports.

Fucking amazing, BJ Penn is a striker, so much for the internet wisdom of the UK freak.

keep reading OP, by the end of the day you will be a complete idiot not understanding that the whole idea is that the matches match different arts together, at this point the strikers are dominating the championships.

BJ Penn is a Brazilian Ju-Jitsu black belt more known for his work on the ground than on his feet, most of his victories come through submission not TKO or KO.

ALL UFC competitors are proficient in Brazilian Ju-Jitsu, all matches are basically Brazilian Ju-Jitsu vs Brazilian Ju-Jitsu.

So we can add MMA to the list of things dick has loud opinions on but actually knows fuck all about.

Ya 76% strikes tells us that he spends more time on the ground than striking.

76% strikes what?, during his career?, during an average match?, during the merry month of May?

Please make youself look even more of idiot by telling me more.

Does it matter? 76% stikes ,career, match,or even round shows that he is is a striker first, He is a champion and his championship came through being a stiker not a grappler.
