I was trimming trees around my propane tank and found a young tree trying to grow around my gas line. So I bent it over and cut it and told myself to stay away from the 1/4" copper line besides it. As I was almost done I thought that I should finish this tree with a hand saw but decided I was so great with a chain saw that it would be fine. Well I nicked it and it started pissing out which made me jump and shut the tank off.
I found a brass shark bite coupling and after cleaning it assembled it back together and turned the gas back on again. It held but now I want to flare it and just don't feel the ring will hold the gas as long as forever. I guess I'll wait and grab some flare fittings Monday from work and fix it right.
    Stupid trees!!!!

Next time you go to do yard work, make sure somebody films it. I sense a Youtube video in your future. Right next to the one where the guy tries to kill a spider with his lighter, while pumping gas.

Thank god I am oblivious to the opinions of others while caught in the blinding splendor of my own cleverness.

Ok today's Monday, get crackin!
Since you decided you were so great with a "chain saw", next time, carve an "Ice Block"!

Remarkably I found my flaring tool. The rest will be easy. Now I have to go into work though to get the 1/4" fittings. They don't sell that crap at home depot.
