I honestly don’t know what the fuck I’m going to do with all this jewelry. I have more jewelry than I will ever wear but I’m not ready to give shit away because my kids are too irresponsible (still). And I’m not going to give my son a bunch of women’s jewelry when he’s not in a LTR.
I’m probably going to lay everything out and let them tag what they want when I die.

I have my Mom's jewelry too. It all sits in a box in my bedroom. Every now & then I think about wearing some of it and then the thought passes. I have my grandmother's sapphire ring as well, but that too sits in its box in my bedroom. I'm the only girl so most of that came to me.

I bought Mrs. Biggie some Black Pearl and 18k Gold earrings and she never wore them even once, and she stopped wearing the rolex watch, I also bought her a 2 ct. tw diamond earrings and she wears stupid cosmetic junk instead she does still wear the nicer wedding rings instead of the simple small gold hand me down gold ring we were married with.

It’s the thought…, lol.
I used to be a jewelry junkie and LOVED getting jewelry gifts from my husband. Then I stopped dressing up as often and a lot of the pieces he gave me…I don’t wear.
Now we “gift” each other new, fancy retractable hoses or house remodeling shit as gifts, lol.

I feel like there is always a story with your posts, or more to the post. I can't type what I was trying to say.

It's comical the value people attach to baubles and trinkets.
People are strange.

Damn. I just checked our pool temp and it’s already 77 degrees in there. Turning the heater on to bring it up to 80 degrees—first swim of the year coming up later today!
My dog is going to be thrilled, lol.

It did. The dog went wild.
She needed a bath badly. It’s not quite the same but she’s cleaner than she was this morning for sure.

So much for swimming today. One of our neighbors has around 4.5 acres in a big T shape. Her house fronts the street (bottom of the T) but for some reason she’s having a bunch of trees removed in the top left corner of the T (which is adjacent to the back corner of our backyard). IDK why cuz she can’t even see them from her house and she’s potentially fucking a little with our privacy from a house on the diagonal to us (and their privacy from us) AND she’s got a giant wood chipper parked back there that’s been running all damn day.
I should probably call ICE because I betcha at least 4 or 5 of the guys working back there are here illegally, lol.

My dogs look at the pool and look like they're thinking about it, but won't go in. Not that I want their hair clogging up the pool, but they could use a quick bath. They smell like shit, a little chlorine won't kill them.

It took us a year to get our dog in the pool but after barking her brains out a few times and falling in she took to it.
But yeah, yesterday I could see her dog hair on the water’s surface. I think our filter can handle her but I wouldn’t invite a bunch of dogs over for a swim.
So my god damn neighbor did remove several trees where now I can see the back of a house kind of diagonal to us (and it looks like shit). Granted it’s a distance away but I’m irritated. Texted my husband and he was like “well, maybe we should plant some trees on our side”. I was like “well, sure but first we probably want to replace around 3/4”’s of an acre of wood/wire fencing and then we can run irrigation out there—because baby trees need water—and then maybe in 10 years we’ll get our privacy back”.

I planted three Shumard Oaks in my backyard, at this point all I can do is hope I live long enough to enjoy the shade and privacy they'll eventually provide. Pretty depressing when you hope you'll live long enough to see a fucking tree grow, it's not something I would have thought about when I was younger.

Oak is a hard wood so you should be able to count on 18-24 inches a year.

I was delighted when I went outside the other day and saw that my watermelon crepe myrtle bloomed literally overnight. It's still a baby, but they're beautiful trees.

I just hate in our current house how one thing begets another and another…
Something’s happening under our master bedroom shower and/or toilet (I’m seeing effects in our family room ceiling). So Monday a contractor is going to come cut holes in the ceiling to identify the problem(s). If we have to tear out our shower….it’s tiny and we have a huge Roman tub with jets that don’t work in the bathroom that we don’t need or use anyway.
So a leak may result in an entire bathroom remodel. It’s complicated by the fact that we have 4 big windows in the bathroom (3 around the tub) so we might need to lose one to make a great big shower.
I just don’t enjoy this stuff anymore. And there’s always something…

Exactly!
We hadn’t lived here a month until a toilet backed up…and up. We have a septic system and came to find out that nobody had ever thought to install an outdoor overflow for sewage. How can you not especially when you’re on a septic system? Like I want everything coming back inside in the event of a problem? Blurg!
That was a quick $8-9k IIRC.
We unknowingly filled our tank once (so it was worth it); we had to have it pumped out. It’s my son’s fault. He uses wayyy more tp than a normal human.
