Trump: Since 1978 the Kennedy Center honors have been amongst the most prestigious awards. I wanted one, never able to get one. I would have taken it. I waited and waited and waited and I said to hell with it, I'll become chairman. I will give myself an honor. Next year we'll honor trump, okay?

I’ve been making a deliberate effort not to be such a news junkie. It’s just too damn disturbing.

I heard something today about NASA satellites being decommissioned and allowed to burn up in the not distant future? The damage to science, health research, the environment is fucking appalling. And the tom foolery at the BLS. I have zero faith in any government institution at this point. Economic, the NIH, the CDC, EPA, justice department…all ruined.

It's very disturbing and I get really fuckin' mad at times. I have learned to walk away when I feel that way. I haven't watched any political programming in nearly a year and I'm better for it. I haven't always paid attention to politics, but that changed when trump came on the scene. In many ways I liked it better when politics bored me to tears.

A guy I know on FB (and knew as a teen) made a post this morning that he was going to stop making political posts (most of which were anti Trump).
I think it’s a little hair flip drama (just don’t post them, lol) but it’s also disturbing. Those of us who are getting fried and tuning out…
People sometimes wonder how Germans allowed the rise of Hitler. When a big part of the population gives up, there u go. Smiley_emoticons_slash
