I am so sick and tired of.....

I don't have medical insurance, I pay out of pocket for an annual checkup and that's less than 2 months of insurance expenses. If I get really sick with cancer or something then I have two rental properties I can sell to keep them from throwing me to the death bed with the rest of the poor schmucks. That will more than pay for all my treatment and I'll be saving myself $450.00 per month (with the premium raising every year) for shit medical insurance that I may or may not need.

As fucked up as insurance is there is no way that I would self-insure. When my kids were born both ended up in pediatric intensive care--my daughter for like 20 days. I don't recall all the details but my daughter's bill was well over $100k and we ended up paying something like $2000 (maybe less). Just a few weeks ago, I had to take my daughter to the emergency room for a potential wrist fracture--the bill was close to $2000 and with insurance we were responsible for maybe $100.

I hate the premiums but no way would I not have coverage. We could deplete our savings over some major illness too but...meh, I'd rather pay the stupid $450/month premiums and not go broke if someone gets seriously ill.
