i'll be away for a few hours, but want to say nobody with murder in mind goes to a house 'armed' with plastic bags. 
you can't predict how that will work on 2 struggling victims.
you want to kill? then you come armed. this was not planned. it was a spontaneous event that evolved from a personal problem.
