Who told you it was scientific? You might like to call me a DB but you contradicted yourself by mentioning a "tribalistic social dynamic". Keep going and I will throw down the gauntlet and ask you to back up what you are saying with some facts.
Religion is, and has always been, a way to control the masses. It is a social phenonmena that has more to do with tribalism and money and land and greed than it does with whatever respective savior or martyr.
The major tribes broke into the major religions. It is all based on geography and ethnicity and linguistics. I offer the Great Schism as an example of this fact. It wasn't just about leavening in the bread and the body of Christ.
Religious groups ARE modern-day tribes.
