Meanwhile, police have released few details about the investigation into Dittmeyer's death, which they have labeled "suspicious." Toxicology test results are not expected for 6-8 weeks, and authorities have refused to say what they know about Dittmeyer's mysterious final days.
....
As of Wednesday, the New Hampshire Attorney General's office, acting at the clearinghouse for information on the ongoing investigation, was limited in its comment on the investigation. "It's still an active and ongoing investigation," Assistant Attorney General Jane Young said. "It has been since the incident happened."
Young added that the state's medical examiner's officer is awaiting results of a toxicology report, which she said could take six to eight weeks.
Police have only labeled the death "suspicious." Young has declined to say whether suspects have been interviewed and little has been made public as to why Dittmeyer, who lived in Portland but had friends in the Conway area, had borrowed her mother's Nissan Sentra and driven to Conway.
The car was found by a passer-by on Saturday, April 23 at 6:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Cranmore Mountain with its four-way flashers on, the driver's side door open, engine running, and Aliyah in the back seat.
In the early hours of the investigation, Conway police mentioned pieces of evidence found during the initial phases of the investigation, including a second vehicle at the scene that police searched after obtaining a warrant. On Wednesday, Young declined to comment further on the second vehicle.
