TAMPA --
A stretch of 50th Street in Tampa is being renamed in honor of two fallen police officers.
David Curtis and Jeffrey Kocab were gunned down on June 29, 2010 during a traffic stop along 50th Street near East 21st Avenue.
Now that section will carry their names.
Residents and business owners along the busy corridor say it's a solemn and fitting tribute to the slain officers.
