i've been following the threads on the "katelyn markham's disappearance: considering everything" group on facebook. tonight someone posted information of the timeline of events before katelyn's disappearance. just thought i'd repost if anyone was interested in seeing it.
Friday August 12, 2011:
Katelyn was at work; she spoke with her family in the evening/late afternoon; she and John went to the Festival that night even though Katelyn really didn’t want to go.
Saturday August 13, 2011:
Just before 11 a.m. Katelyn posted on a friend’s FB page when he posted he was going to S.H. Festival in the morning.
John arrived at Katelyn’s around 7:30 or 8pm
John left around 11, 11:30 p.m. ,Midnight with a bag of old bank documents she asked him to burn;
Sunday August 14, 2011:
John went to a friend’s house and burned the documents (in the rain so not sure how long this would take);
Between the time John left (11 or 11:30 or Midnight) John and Katelyn text back and forth a few times about him burning her documents and how she’d like to be there and so on.
12:45 a.m. Katelyn’s phone or GPS is turned off and/or battery was removed.
12:52 John receives a picture of a picture from Katelyn.
John stays with friend talking and hanging out with t.v. as background noise until 2 a.m.
John goes home and watches more t.v. and tries to get tired until he finally goes to bed around 4 a.m.
Right before bed he sends Katelyn a “good morning” text.
John gets up at 4:30 p.m. that afternoon 12 ½ hours later, evidently having been successful “getting tired.”
At some point between the time he gets up and 7 p.m. John notices that he has not received a “Good Morning” text from Katelyn and/or John notices that Katelyn has not responded to his “Good Morning” text.
John also goes to work sometime during this same time period. 4:30p.m. to 7p.m.
John continues to text and call and gets no answer from Katelyn.
Sometime before 7 pm, John asks his boss if he can leave to go check on Katelyn
John goes to Katelyn’s house.
John sees Katelyn’s car in the parking lot and his heart sinks because he knows she and her car should be at work.
John goes to door and immediately uses his/hidden key to open door.
John discovers that Katelyn is not inside, dog locked in bedroom which is not normal procedure, that Katelyn’s purse, keys and “everything else except her phone” is there.
By 7pm John has determined that Katelyn is gone.
John leaves at some point after this discovery
Over the next hour, after having determined that Katelyn is missing with nothing except her cell phone and John calls Katelyn’s Dad and John’s Mom and a few of Katelyn’s friends to see if they’ve seen/talked with Katelyn.
Approximately one hour after 7 p.m. John heads back and on the way back calls 911 John waits for police.
Katelyn’s Father comes to the condo, presumably after John calls him and before or while John is calling the police.
