You would be interested in Derrida ("There is nothing outside the text.") and his views on all texts being related to some other text. Wonder how he would approach old Egypt and the first writings? He would say they are manifestations of the spoken text, I guess. Deconstuctivism my ass. At some point, somebody wrote something as a result of a real idea or observance.
