Back to the news: I figured it would end like this. Too long after the fact to prosecute but hopefully there are enough Texans who don't beat the hell out of their children anymore who will vote him out. Such a fair family law judge he must have been. I'm sure he held those parents to a higher moral standard than he could meet and never gave that a thought.

Hillary Adams, 16 at the time, recorded the video, but waited until she was 23-years-old to post it. A district attorney in the state says too much time has passed for any charges to be filed.

Judge Adams has temporarily resigned from his post and faces a judicial conduct probe. And while he may not face any legal consequences for beating, he could end up losing his job. He is up for re-election in three years.
Police say the video provides evidence of a crime called injury to a child, but there's a five-year statute of limitations on that crime."
