Michael Len Plumadore, 39, will not return to court this Friday.
Plumadore made a preliminary court appearance in Allen County Misdemeanor Court on Tuesday morning, where he was told probable cause exists, to hold him on murder charges of 9-year-old Aliahna Lemmon. At that time his next court appearance had been scheduled for Friday.
According to Jeremy Tinkle, spokesperson for the Allen County Sheriff's, the decision was made Thursday afternoon to move the hearing back to next week.
Allen County Prosecutor's Office said formal charges will still be filed Friday.

The county has 72 hours to file formal charges. When they are filed Friday, a warrant will be sent to the jail and read to Plumadore, where he will continue to be detained.
Plumadore is expected to be in court by Wednesday at the latest.
