in Northeast states like Maine and New Hampshire, natural snow has either melted or been washed away, as ski resort bosses count the cost of a barren December. The two states are among a number which are normally completely buried at this time of year, but the distinctly brown Christmas has left the outlook bleak for winter recreation enthusiasts.
let it snow!
