Clos du bois Chardonnay is really good. Not too sweet or too dry. It's about $14 a bottle and you can get it at most grocery stores (at least here on the west coast). 13.5% alcohol; so good for a nice functional little buzz after just a couple of glasses, but a solid big buzz if you have the time and opportunity to consume the whole bottle. No headache the next day, in my experience.

Now that was a kick ass wine recommendation. You hit all the high points and gave good information.
