I guess you refer to highly anonymity proxies and not just the common one's , as with the above script you can reveal the true ip.

Another option is using tor project which provides you with high anonymity with a little sacrifice on the part of using flash player.

Um why would you do any of this? Are you looking at child porn? Why would you go to this extent to be so secretive. This kind of freaks me out. I am not very computer savy so maybe there would be another reason. Could you explain?

I'll start from the white highlighted areas of yours, since you are not very computer savy, (whatever that means), why then do you assume instantly the worst thing that a human mind could possibly think of?


I am not secretive, my photo is up to another site, it will be up to this site as well after few hours , with a photo up , any Authority can retrieve the personal identification data of anyone on the Net, techonology has evoluted thankfully.

I am just cautious towards the one's that are not legally trying to find me, if such persons exist, now, why would anybody want to find someone in a virtual place and connect it with reality you may ask. The answer to that is simple.

Stalkers, weirdos, mafia, including but not limited to illegal organ distribution, scammers , etc..etc..anything your mind can possibly think of, the Net has it, why would anybody in right mind, (which is not virgin on Net) to not want to hide his ip?.

Summary

1.Please do not judge so quick (not that I care actually)
2.Hide your ip and/or, try to not put much information on net, regarding yourself, plus spread the word to others as well.
3. Buy an external hard disk and save there , everything that you think has personal information, cause everytime you feel like your pc is crawling, someone is inside stealing your stuff probably.
