I agree with you about people expecting too much in terms of personal integrity from Presidential candidates. Who wants to run the country unless they like power, control, and attention, right? Those kinds of character traits can also make one more inclined to get around the standard rules set for society if they want or feel entitled to something.
I don't care about extramarital affairs when it comes to candidates and wish it didn't come up. I'm not fucking the President, so why should it matter to me? I do care about ethics, however, when it comes to business and financial matters. The President and his appointed Cabinet (along with Congress) do have a strong say in how my tax dollars are spent and how efficiently it's done; it's of ethical relevance.
Interesting to see if Hillary runs in 2016.
