I have another controversial thought: should it weigh in that it was such a brand new life? A life she just made, one that was inside of her just minutes before? The main point being, it wasn't like the typical "she went out and killed someone and so should spend life in prison." I can see how a special "ownership right" might be in play under that circumstance. I guess that is at the heart of the abortion debate.
I'm just saying, it's hard to classify her a murderer, or murderous in my mind. That's partly because the extreme emotional factor involved, but I have to admit, it's also partly due to how I don't consider it the same as killing another person, or the newborn of someone else.
I am sickened by what she did, but like I said. I have mixed feelings on it all.
