I have a couple of calvary campsites programmed into the GPS that I found while looking through the troop movement records plus a few other sites that were listed as homesteads and 2 older carnival sites that were listed in local area history via newspaper articles from the events, I find anything that is made of metal.
That's really cool...what's the most interesting thing you have ever found? No shit...once we found a confederate artillery shell...it was whole...we had to defuse it or whatever you call it. Apparently many of them were duds and were shot out of the canons but didn't explode upon landing. The metal detector went nuts ...we knew whatever it was it was big.
