There was someone going off yesterday on the ward bigtime! We called a 'code black' he got bounced out of there like a nobody trying to get into Studio 54. He was moved to the PICU, where apparently he was as good as gold.
It's not scary, more funny than scary.
My daughter is a rec therapist in a state mental institution. We worry about her safety all the time. She said one of the saddest things is how they don't separate the depressed/suicidal patients from the psychotic ones anymore due to budget cuts. She is amazing...is very dedicated.
