I find the term somewhat....ummmm......endearing, compared to the more vulgar nouns some use. More respectful if you will.....

Yep, "cooter" in that context is kinda cute and non-offensive. But, I'm not sure expanding the informal vocabulary is always such a good thing. I mean, it definitely conjures up an entirely different mental picture when I imagine the annual "cooterfests" held throughout the South.

Also makes me think that if you were less of a gentleman, you could refer to the back seat of your ride as a "cooter scooter".
