Sleeping On The Job

I ran out of cigarettes one night many years ago on the job and had to go find one to bum.

I checked each job site in my plant and every single individual was sacked out. I'd have wakened one but it became a challenge to find someone awake and I figured the plant police would probably be asleep too so there wouldn't be much chance of getting caught. Finally in a plant nearly half a mile away I found someone awake and luckily he was a smoker (everyone smoked in those days). I cheated to find someone awake though since I headed to the one job that had to work 45 minutes every couple hours.

I never slept much on the job.
