On more than one occasion, the tooth fairy didn't deliver. The next day...."clearly you didn't check your bed well enough because it has to be there somewhere and oh, btw, the tooth fairy must want you to keep this tooth". 
Early teeth were a $1 or $2. However, the more teeth they lost, the price went up. The tooth fairy gave my kids $20 for the last tooth they lost. End of an era.
ETA: My jewelry box looks like a bone yard. I don't have every one but I have a lot of them. Can we say hoarder?
