I hope Hailey's alive, but I've always believed that she died in her mother's home 2 nights before she was reported missing; the "I thought she was sleeping over at a friend's house" story was complete bullshit.
If Hailey's dead, I hope these are her remains and police can compel Adkins and Dunn to talk. It's been so long now, I doubt there's much that can be learned from the body, but I hope there's some smoking gun pointing back to the guilty parties.
Shawn Adkins worked in Snyder, till he oddly quit and walked off the job the same morning that Hailey supposedly disappeared.
Billie Dunn's mom lived in Snyder too; that's where they went to withdraw money for drugs the night before Hailey was reported missing.
If fits that this could be Hailey's body; hope the body is ID'd soon.
From the early days of the missing person investigation:
During that same polygraph, according to the affidavit, Adkins indicated that Hailey Dunn could be found in Scurry County. The results of his polygraph, indicated he was telling the truth. However, when investigators asked him, a second time, if he knew where Hailey was, he refused to answer the question. Investigators asked Adkins who they should be looking at, in regards to Hailey's disappearance, to which Adkins replied "both of us."
