Bit of an aside, but I have a bit of a thing for urban candid photography. I wanted to go and take some pictures around skid row last year when I was in LA, but everyone I spoke to about it advised heavily against the idea unless I was virtually willing to pay for a small security team. In the end, I thought it would be very disrespectful to do it unless I was planning on putting together some kind of photo essay to raise awareness, which was not my intention, so I gave it a miss. Kind of still wish I did it.
