Sixfooters, I didn't say we don't have racism here. What you are referring to is the 'stolen generations' where children where taken away from their parents purely because they were black. The government has apologised to them for this and I believe they may be entitled to compensation. Having said that, there was much damage done by this policy, but these were the days of 'white Australia policy'. There is still an imbalance, and we try to rectify it by offering advantage to government jobs/universities and other areas, but the imbalance and social disadvantage still exists irrespective of these measures. Racism does exist here, just not to same degree over there.
To be honest I have my own social prejudges, that's true, I am honest about it, I think it may be wrong, but it is based on some negative experiences and now that is my perspective on it.
