Paula Deen is making her comeback bid, starting with Texas.
She appeared at a sold out Houston cooking show (with her sons) at a cost of $75 - $100 per ticket, and got a long standing ovation.

Deen told the audience that the past few months have been difficult, but it's been a growth experience and she's learned a lot about her self and her business. She looks like she's lost a lot of weight in the process.
"These are tears of joy, y'all," she said, reports the Houston Chronicle. The site says about 1,500 fans showed up. "I've said all along that the one place I'd want to make my first step back out is Texas. Y'all's hearts are as big as your state."
