I'm not a big fan of Halloween. I don't get too excited about walking door to door collecting a garbage bag full of candy that you can buy all year long right at the checkout line at the grocery store. Homemade popcorn balls are a nice treat, however, but I don't think many people give those out anymore.
I remember in 4th grade one of the moms brought in popcorn balls and at that time it was the best thing I've ever ate. I've never had another one like it, the caramelized sugar around the pop corn looked like streams of spun glass.
