I'd hardly call it "intervention". He called the old guy a creepy perv, the girl probably just went on her way and didn't give it a thought one way or another.

Intervention? Pffft. Do you ladies get all pissed off and shit when a guy opens the door for you? Do you find it an insult to your ability to open a door for your own god damn self? I don't need someone to open a door for me but if they do, I find it slightly polite as opposed to insulting.

Speaking only for myself, I don't view a gentleman opening my door the same way I would view a random stranger calling out a perv on my behalf.

I'm always amazed at the number of things I don't give two fucks about yet the very same thing has the ability to set any number of people off. Maybe I don't have a very good give a fuck or it's broken. I think I'll just chalk it up to being shallow.
