There are a plethora of hearts & flowers forums where prayer threads are encouraged. Mock isn't one of them.

That's not entirely true.

I get the whole thing about asking strangers on the internet to pray for so and so and why it's annoying. The thing is if she or he would have left the part out about sending prayers most of us would have sent the niece well wishes anyway. And the few holy rollers would have sent prayers anyway. It's the point that the prayers were asked for. If that was left out I can imagine Crash saying something more along the lines of "that sucks, hopes she recovers soon" or just nothing at all.
