He exposed himself to at least three pre-pubescent girls.
One of them was the 10-year-old relative of his first wife. He also at least put her hand on his penis. He says things went on with her over three years (and her sister).
The other child to whom he's admitted exposing himself was from his neighborhood. He says he saw her 15 years ago and "made amends", "apologized".
The first wife's relative set this in motion when she contacted Faye Grant to tell her about how her husband had sexually abused her when she was 10. He denied it then, but has since admitted it for reasons unclear.
The three little girls he talks about on the recording were all kids to whom he had easy access. Listening to him on the tape reminds me of listening to interviews with busted pedophiles when they allocute before sentencing; same sort of casualness and minimizing.
Anyway, we're probably not gonna agree on this one. He was almost 30 years old when he was behaving sexually with the three girls that we know about. Short of murder or rape, there's nothing that you could have done 30 years ago (even if your were a wild-ass law-breaking teen then) that even remotely approaches acting on pedophelic urges as a well-established adult. And none of your actions likely involved choosing to potentially damage other people's lives for your own sexual gratification.
It's unlikely that Collins will be allowed easy access to children by anyone moving forward -- that alone makes it a good thing that he was outed, IMO.
