I remember having our second when her brother was just 18 months.
Honestly, you forget how you got by day to day, but then you see people going through that now and you're in complete awe of how it's possible that they can function.
Right now, my kids (almost 8 and 6) are at the best age there is.
Independent enough to take care of their personal needs but they still love mom & dad and are easy little travel companions.
The shit starts hitting the fan when they get to middle school.
