Sexual assault is way under reported overall, probably more so when the victims are troubled and the assaulter is in a position of authority.
Even so, the Associated Press published a study in November showing that 1,000 officers across the nation had lost their badges over a six-year period for sexual misconduct that included rape, sodomy, possession of child porn and propositioning citizens.
Anyway, I hope the conviction and severe sentence in this case helps curb this type of police abuse and brutality.
