Anyway, Sunday's Baltimore mass shooting has been covered across media outlets.
However, in catching up with the news, I see there still aren't a lot of details available yet, nor any indication that it was an act of terrorism at this point. It's awful nonetheless.
Here's what's been reported thus far:
Seven people were shot Sunday, one of them fatally, at a gathering in west Baltimore, the Baltimore police said.
The shooting was reported around 5 p.m. in the 2500 block of Edmondson Avenue, according to Chakia Fennoy, a Baltimore police spokeswoman.
She said it apparently occurred at a cookout. Photographs of the shooting scene posted on media websites, showed what appeared to be picnic or cookout items.
It was not clear what prompted the gunfire. The names of the gunshot victims were not immediately available.
The victim who was slain was pronounced dead at a hospital, Fennoy said. Rest in peace.
Baltimore police detectives are trying to figure out whether the chaotic shooting might be competition between underworld groups, a triggerman seeking vengeance or another kind of senseless strike.
Although the motive for the weekend attack is not clear, there has long been an escalating arms race among Baltimore’s criminal gangs that has turned some neighborhoods into battle zones, particularly in the most deeply disenfranchised areas.
There haven't been any suspects identified thus far.
