Julian Castro would make a fine VP and he'd possibly turn Texas blue.  What a lovely thing that would be.

I don't disagree with that. The more opportunities he has to get out his message, the more appealing he is to people.

I think there's a very good chance of turning Texas next year. There has already been a tremendous change there and my opinion was only reinforced after Will Hurd said he won't run for reelection. He makes the 8^th republican who is choosing to retire rather than run for reelection. I'm choosing to think it's because they all see the writing on the wall. They know!
