Police have detained and interviewed a slew of teenagers in relation to the murder.
Yesterday, they arrested a 13-year-old boy who reportedly confessed to killing Tessa when she fought back while he and his friends were trying to mug her.
The boy, who has not been named, was wearing clothing that matched descriptions of Tessa's attacker. I don't know yet if the descriptions came from eye witnesses or surveillance footage.
Anyway, police are reportedly searching for two other boys who they believe participated in killing Tess.
Such a violent and brazen crime to be committed by a 13-year-old. If his alleged confession is verified, he will quite likely be tried as an adult.
Hopefully NYPD will track down anyone else involved and get them off the streets quickly.
