~HAPPY MOTHERS DAY~

My mother is dead.

She wasn't a nice woman.

She never, never showed her love.

She was verbally and physically abusive beyond reproach.

She never conveyed thanks in any way for the care and support I provided for her during her last three years of life when my siblings did nothing.

And yet, in some funny little way, I still loved her.

She was my mother.

Wow, is that really true? That's fucked up if so. A mother that NEVER showed her love? ::wait::

It's true.



I always thought, with the extreme hatred sheexhibited for her father, that something may have happened to her by him when she was younger. Could have fucked her up pretty bad. I do know she was out of the house at 14, got married, and gave birth to my oldest sister at age 15. Strange into today's world but not so strange in the farming communities of Montana and Wyoming in the late 30's, early 40's.

I don't think I have a copyright on fucked up parents.
